From MSNBC's Live with Dan Abram.The church Abrams refuse to name is the Westboro Baptist Church of Kansas, a bunch of lunatics that consist mostly of the Phelps family. They are not recognized by any other denomination, including Baptists. In fact, some of their biggest critics are conservatives and hosts on the Fox network. I love the church because they're a major embarrassment to the Religious Right. They're so over-the-top homophobic that even homophobes are forced to condemn them. Among their most hateful acts is picketing the funerals of [hetero] soldiers killed in Iraq. The church believes that the deaths (as well as 9/11) are God's punishment for our acceptance of gays. They're also antisemitic, anti-Catholic, anti-Muslim, among other things.
